This role is central to building strong client relationships, driving revenue growth, and expanding GigWay’s presence in the market.Role PurposeThe Account Executive will be responsible for acquiring new clients, managing accounts, and selling GigWay’s range of services and products. The role requires a mix of business development, relationship management, and consultative selling to meet revenue targets and strengthen GigWay’s footprint in South Africa.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for GigWay and its subsidiaries.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and partnerships.
  • Pitch GigWay’s services to potential clients, adapting the value proposition to their needs.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Account Management
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through regular check-ins and proactive support.
  • Cross-sell and upsell services across GigWay’s different subsidiaries (Talent, Connect, Digital, etc.).
Sales Operations & Strategy
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager and Founders to refine sales strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM.
  • Provide market feedback on customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging trends.
  • Contribute to the creation of proposals, contracts, and presentations.
RequirementsQualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in B2B/B2C sales, account management, or business development.
  • Familiarity with the tech, freelance marketplace, or telecommunications sector is advantageous.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Goal-driven with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to build trust and relationships with diverse clients.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – proactive, adaptable, and results-focused.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a startup environment with limited supervision.
  • Comfortable with hybrid working (remote + occasional in-person meetings).
