Job description
- Collect and deliver food, parcels, or documents safely and on time.
- Use navigation apps or company instructions to determine optimal delivery routes.
- Maintain professionalism and courteous interaction with customers.
- Handle goods with care and ensure secure delivery.
- Manage digital delivery apps (Uber Eats, Mr D, Bolt Food, Checkers Sixty60, Takealot, etc.).
- Comply with all traffic laws, safety standards, and delivery partner requirements.
- Maintain the motorbike in good, roadworthy condition and keep protective gear in order.
- Valid South African motorbike driver’s license (Code A / A1).
- Roadworthy motorbike or scooter with delivery box.
- Proof of vehicle registration, license disc, and insurance.
- Own smartphone with reliable data for delivery apps.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- No major criminal or traffic offenses.
- Strong knowledge of local routes and traffic conditions.
- Time management and ability to meet delivery deadlines.
- Reliable, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving ability when dealing with customer or route challenges.
- Access to gigs with multiple delivery platforms.
- Resources to help maximize earnings (training, tips, and community support).
- Flexibility to choose your own hours and workload.
- Opportunities to expand into other GigWay categories (e.g., transport, sales, or freelance services).
